
Kel Currah is the What World founder and Executive Director. Kel established What World in 2009 with the aim of answering the question - What World do we want?
Kel has some experience on this question as for ten years, Kel worked as the associate director of a large international development agency. Since establishing What World, he has worked with a number of global campaigns including the Global Campaign on Climate Action and its Tck Tck Tck campaign for the Copenhagen meeting and 1GOAL: Education for All campaign which worked to ensure the 2010 World Cup had an enduring legacy. Kel was a member of the UK's Make Poverty History team in 2005 and was on the founding council of the Global Call to Action Against Poverty, the world's largest anti-poverty campaign. In addition, Kel helps to coordinate planning and intelligence sharing within the NGO community on advocacy on the G8 and G20 Summits. Kel has a degree in History from the University of Manchester and an MA in International Relations from Durham University. He currently resides in Canada, where it is cold, very cold.
